After reading mixed reviews on this restaurant, my husband and I decided to try it last night. I have never written a review of a restaurant before, but this was such an awful expderience I just had to share it.Our first encounter was with a nasty hostess. She brought us to our table situated in the middle of two large, loud parties. My husband asked if we could move a few tables away because it was so loud. "No," we were told and she put the menus down on the table and walked away. The waiter brought our soup and one piece of microwaved pita bread cut into four triangles. YUCK! Main courses were even worse. My "gyro platter" consisted of a pile of microwave heated gyro meat that had the consistency of rubber. YUCK. My husband asked for additional pita bread to dilute the taste of his horrible pork chops, only to be told by the waiter that he would have to charge us for that. (By the way, that's after being charged for a tablespoon sized cup of overly garlicky yogurt sauce to accompany our entrees).I made the mistake of going to the ladies room. My walk past the kitchen disgusted me (dirty), but not nearly as disgusted as when I walked into the bathroom,. If you love greek food as much as my husband and I do - run, don't walk in the other direction.
Some of you reviewers out there are a little bit silly at times. There ain't a single good thing I or anyone in my family can say about this dreadful restaurant. Don't even bother. The avgolemono was absolutely pitiful. Who on earth would call "Greek Soup" raw chicken juice with a hint of lemon? Lord in heaven.
